Definition of physical parameters of 8 X-class solar flares

چکیده

We observed top 8 X-class solar flares registered in the period May 1998 – 2015. measure physical parameters of flares, such as temporal scale, size, and magnetic flux density, find that sizes tend to be distributed more broadly GOES class becomes weaker there is a lower limit density depends on class. also made brief analysis these days, has shown duration time peak Universal time.             have identified several quantities estimated reconnection rate flares. To determine we used images taken with AIA instrument board SDO satellite at wavelengths 131 Å, 174 193 211 335 1600 1700 4500 SXT - pictures, HMI Magnetogram, SOLIS Chromospheric XRT-data. Using values, calculate inflow velocity, coronal Alfven rate. The velocities vary from few kilometers per second tens second, corona are range 103 104 second. As result, 10-3. flare tends decrease increases.

Gamma-Ray Polarimetry of Two X-Class Solar Flares

We have performed the first polarimetry of solar flare emission at γ-ray energies (0.2–1MeV). These observations were performed with the Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI) for two large flares: the GOES X4.8-class solar flare of 2002 July 23, and the X17-class flare of 2003 October 28. We have marginal polarization detections in both flares, at levels of 21 ± 9% and -...

Statistics of X-Ray Solar Flares

Previous studies of the statistical behavior of solar flare waiting times are based on the assumptions of Gaussian and Poisson statistics, subject to central limit theorem restrictions. In this study, the results of a rescaled range analysis on the waiting times for two hard x-ray solar flare data sets are presented. The Hurst scaling parameter, H, for both data sets is well above 0.5, clearly ...

The Ulysses catalog of solar hard X-ray flares

Ulysses was launched in October 1990, and its Solar X-ray/Cosmic Gamma-ray Burst Experiment (GRB) has provided more than 13 years of uninterrupted observations of solar X-ray flare activity. Due to the large variation of the relative solar latitude and longitude of the spacecraft orbit with respect to the Earth, the perspective of the GRB instrument often differed significantly from that of X-r...

Kappa distribution and hard X - ray emission of solar flares

Aims. We investigate whether the so-called kappa distribution, often used to fit electron distributions detected in-situ in solar wind, can describe electrons producing the hard X-ray emission in solar flares. Methods. Using Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic imager (RHESSI) flare data we fit spatially and feature integrated spectra assuming kappa distribution for mean electron flux spectru...

X-ray Polarization of Solar Flares Measured with Rhessi

The degree of linear polarization in solar flares has not yet been precisely determined despite multiple attempts to measure it with different missions. The high energy range in particular has very rarely been explored, due to its greater instrumental difficulties. We approached the subject using the Reuven Ramaty High Energy Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI) satellite to study 6 X-class and 1 M-cl...
